Kimber Resources Inc. (TSX: KBR)

Kimber Resources Inc. (AMEX: KBX, TSX: KBR), a development and exploration company, controls 28,000 hectares in Chihuahua State, Mexico in the heart of the Sierra Madre Gold belt. The Monterde gold-silver property, is located 260 kilometres southwest of the city of Chihuahua and is accessible by paved highway and logging road. Kimber has been active on the property for only four years after first acquiring an option to purchase 100% ownership of the original concessions, free of any royalty.

The Monterde property is home to the Carmen deposit which is currently being developed and a pre-feasibility study expected in 2006. The deposit is open to the northeast, southeast, and at depth with further exploration and development drilling is ongoing.

Since January 2005 Kimber has shifted the greater part of its drilling budget to the search for additional deposits on the Monterde. This is in response to the high quality exploration targets that have been identified and management’s belief that the Monterde property holds the potential to host multiple deposits in the area already identified. Since this decision, drilling has commenced on Carotare and El Orito Norte. The first resource estimate on Carotare reported (November 7, 2005) 101,000 gold equivalent ounces of Measured and Indicated, and 139,000 ounces of Inferred. This estimate was based on 28 holes. Drilling commenced on the El Orito Norte in December 2005. Now the Carmen and Carotare deposits, combined with the El Orito Norte exploration target account for over three kilometres of continuous alteration east to west. Additional exploration targets have been identified but not yet named on the Monterde and will be subject to further mapping, sampling and trenching.

The goal of the company is to show that the Monterde is a multiple-deposit property and to increase the resource ounces substantially while moving towards production. Management believes that with less than four years of modern exploration on the Monterde together with the exploration sucesses in 2005, there is a real possibility of achieving this goal.

Kimber Resources Inc. went public by way of an IPO in June 2002. The company’s head office is located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
