Esperanza Silver Corporation (TSX-V: EPZ)

Esperanza

Esperanza Silver Corporation is an exploration company committed to uncovering new silver and gold deposits. Since the start of its exploration activities in 2003 the company has discovered two exceptional projects: San Luis in Peru and Cerro Jumil in Mexico. The company continues its new prospect generation activity while advancing the two prospects into the resource definition stage.

San Luis, Peru - high-grade gold and silver in a newly discovered vein system. The project, a 50/50 joint-venture with Silver Standard Resources, will be aggressively explored by both drilling and tunneling in 2006.

Cerro Jumil, Mexico - a bulk-tonnage, heap-leachable gold target. Gold was discovered in the first phase of drilling. Subsequent surface prospecting located widespread gold mineralization adjacent to the dill holes. Phase II drilling begins in late 2005. The project is owned 100% by Esperanza

San Luis project

The San Luis project in Peru is a newly discovered high-grade precious metal system in central Peru. It encompasses over 10,000 hectares of mineral concession with good road access to nearby population centers. Elevations range from 3800 to 4700 meters above sea level.

The project is a 50-50 joint venture with Silver Standard Resources Inc. Silver Standard has the right to earn up to 80 percent by funding a feasibility study and placing the property into production. There are no third-party property holders or any underlying royalties payable.

Geology and Mineralization - High-grade gold and silver veins are hosted within Tertiary-age volcanic rocks of the Calipuy Formation. Five separate veins have been identified so far with a cumulative strike length of over 5000 meters

The veins are several hundreds of meters to over 2,000 meters in length and up to 10 meters or more wide, dimensions that attest to the strength and potential of the hydrothermal mineral system at San Luis. Reconnaissance sampling along the Ayelen vein has returned bonanza values for gold and silver.

Esperanza announced the first results of a channel sampling program on the Ayelen vein in March of 2006. Channels were cut at approximately 25 meter intervals along the length of the vein.

Mineralization within the veins is typical of classic quartz-adularia or low-sulfidation epithermal systems which include major precious metal deposits such as El Peñon in Chile and Fresnillo in Mexico. Vein textures such as well developed banding and brecciation indicate that repeated episodes of gold and silver deposition have occurred. Early investigations at San Luis suggest that concentrations of precious metals will likely form ore shoots within the veins.

On-Going Activity - Currently the joint-venture partners are preparing an aggressive program of surface sampling and drilling. Exploration tunneling may be considered in late 2006. Esperanza will be the project manager. A 12- man camp has been constructed and is used as a base for operations.

Current project work focuses on systematically sampling the five known veins, prospecting for vein extensions or new veins and reconnaissance sampling in other promising areas within the extended claim block. Newly developed targets will be tested by drilling and/or underground tunneling once all required permits are secured.
